On June 29, 2021 the U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision in Johnson v. Guzman Chavez, a case involving undocumented individuals who reentered without authorization after being deported. In that case, the Supreme Court held that they are not entitled to release on bond while their applications for statutory withholding of removal and withholding under the Convention Against Torture (CAT) are pending.
El 29 de junio, 2021 la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos hizo la decisión en Johnson v. Guzman Chavez, un caso que involucra a personas indocumentadas que volvieron a ingresar sin autorización después de ser deportados. En ese caso, la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos de América sostuvo que no tienen derecho de ser liberados con fianza mientras solicitan la retención legal de deportación y la retención de deportación bajo la Convención Contra la Tortura (CAT).
